Laos, the least populated country in Southeast Asia, is the country with the greatest ethnic diversity. The Hmong, Kamous or Akhas are among these ethnic groups that include nearly 80 local identities, each composed of their own beliefs, customs and dialect! To find their way around, they are officially called ethnicities of Low Lands, Middle-Lands or from the Mountains.
I did a trek in the mountains with a guide of Hmong ethnicity and we went to the encounter of Hmongs and Kamous. Though they don't mix, both ethnicities are living in peace in the same village.
